Changing the World, You Made the Difference!!
by Diana Kovac, Outgoing District Governor   2006/2007
The District theme for 2006/2007 was "Changing the World, You Make the Difference". Congratulations! YOU truly did change the world because YOU MADE the Difference.

Changing the World may seem like a monumental task but actually anytime you touch a life, you touch all the lives that life touches. It's a ripple effect and it's a ripple that reaches all around the world. Here are just some examples of how you changed the world, how "YOU Made The Difference"!!

First, you made the difference in your own life by seeing the value of Toastmasters and taking advantage of the opportunities to build and improve your communication and leadership skills. You saw what a vital role these skills hold in your professional, personal and private lives and you took action. Don't ever stop learning, don't ever stop growing and building a better you. Congratulations!!

You've also made the difference in the lives of others. Every time you attend a meeting, perform a meeting role or take a leadership position, you are not only building your own skills but you are also helping fellow members improve their skills. You've helped others gain self esteem; grow inside and outside then showed them how to help others do the same. Toastmasters can honestly say that they succeed by helping others succeed. Congratulations!!

Thank you for making a difference in my life!! You've all touched my life this past year in so many ways. Each of you has made this past Toastmasters year an experience that I will always treasure. We've faced challenges and successes, worked hard, had fun and made fond memories along the way. Your dedication, enthusiasm and persistence are what has made District 22, in my opinion, one of the finest Districts in the world. Thank You!!

Congratulations on your 2006-2007 achievements!!
