DISTRICT 22 BOUNDARIES
District 22 includes the state of Kansas and the western half of
the state of Missouri.
The eastern boundary of D22 runs along the western boundaries of
Missouri counties: Mercer, Grundy, Linn, and Charlton, then the
eastern boundaries of Missouri counties: Saline, Pettis, and
Benton, then the western boundaries of Missouri counties: Camden,
Dallas, Webster, Douglas, and Clark.
For 2007-2008:
DIVISION T:
Approximately all of Kansas north of I-70 plus a band approximately
ten miles south of I-70, except for Wyandotte County, but including
all of Douglas County.
DIVISION A:
All of Kansas further than 10 miles south of I-70 and west of a
line extending from the western edge of Chautaugua, Elk, Woodson,
Coffey, and Osage counties.
DIVISION L:
Everything between the eastern District 22 boundary and the western
Missouri state line, extending from the northern Missouri state
line to 51st Street in Kansas City, Missouri and in a line straight
east from 51st Street until the line meets I-70. Division L, however,
includes all of Independence and Blue Springs even though parts of
these cities are south of the dividing line.
DIVISION K:
All of Wyandotte County. All of Johnson County except for the S4
portion which is south of I-435 east of Lowell to State Line, north
of 115th Street, south to county line.
DIVISION S:
Everything between the eastern District 22 boundary and the western
Missouri state line south of Division L. Southeastern Kansas from the
southern Johnson county line (except those areas specified in Division
K), the southern Douglas county line, and the southern Shawnee county
line. The western border is the Division A eastern border.
For 2008-2009:
DIVISION T:
Northern Kansas to I-29 in Missouri. Southern boundary is (west to east)
I-70 and beginning at Hwy 177/Strong City and including Emporia, it is US
50 (I-35 from Emporia) to the western edge of Johnson County. The eastern
boundary includes all Wyandotte County, Kansas, and the western edge of
Missouri bounded by I-29 including Platte County to the western edge of Jackson County.
DIVISION A:
Southwest Kansas. Northern boundary joins the southern boundary of Division T
and turns south on US-75 to the Kansas border.
DIVISION L:
Downtown Kansas City and northwest Missouri. Includes all of northern Missouri
between I-29 and I-35 to the northern Missouri border.. Southern boundary is
35th Street. Eastern boundary is (north to south) I-35 and US-71. The western
boundary in the Kansas City metro area is the eastern boundary of Division T.
DIVISION K:
Most of Johnson County plus section of southeast Kansas. Northern boundary is
northern Johnson County line. Western boundary travels west from western Johnson
County down I-35 to US-75 to the southern Kansas border. The eastern boundary
south of I-435 is US-69. The southern boundary includes (west to east) Kansas
southern boundary to US-69 and, on the north, I- 435 east of US-69 to Kansas state line.
DIVISION R:
North Central Missouri. Western boundary is (north to south) I-35 down US-71
and Hwy 7 (Clinton) to the eastern District 22 boundary - plus the Westport/Plaza
area between 35th Street and 63rd Street to the western Missouri state line.
DIVISION S:
South Missouri and southeastern edge of Kansas. Everything between the eastern
District 22 boundary and the western Missouri state line south and west of
Division L. Southeastern Kansas south of I-435 and east of US-69.
