Meet the District Trio for District 22
What Do We Mean by District Trio?
The District Trio are the district officers charged with the overall
responsibility for guiding members, clubs, and other district
officers in the attainment of district goals. Being a District
officer may appear glamorous to some; however, there's considerable
responsibility and hard work involved. This trio is also sometimes
referred to as the Top Three.
Following are the District Trio for July 2007-June 2008.
District Governor

The District Governor is the chief executive officer for the District.

Following is a partial list of District Governor responsibilities.
- Uphold Toastmasters International Bylaws and policies.
- Maintain regular communications with Toastmasters World Headquarters.
- Appoint, guide, and direct District officers and committees.
- Promote the Toastmasters International educational program.
- Work with the Lt. Gov. Education and Training to establish ongoing high quality training programs.
- Work with the Lt. Gov. Marketing to motivate membership building and retention.
- Work with the Public Relations Officer to establish district-wide communications.

Lt. Governor Education and Training

The Lt. Gov. Education and Training is the second ranking member of the District Executive Committee.

Following is a partial list of Lt. Gov. Education and Training responsibilities.
- Uphold Toastmasters International Bylaws and policies.
- Appoint, guide, and direct chair persons and committees which promote educational achievements and program excellence.
- Promote the Toastmasters International educational program.
- Plan, organize, and implement high quality training programs, appointing coordinators and facilitators as needed.
- Plan, organize, and convene District conferences, appointing chair persons and committees as needed.
- Coordinate and supervisor district-level International Speech Contests.

Lt. Governor Marketing

The Lt. Gov. Marketing is the third ranking member of the District Executive Committee.

Following is a partial list of Lt. Gov. Marketing responsibilities.
- Uphold Toastmasters International Bylaws and policies.
- Ensure achievement of District membership and Club growth goals.
- Direct and coordinate marketing strategies to support District growth objectives.
- Recruit, train, and maintain a strong Club extension team. (X-Team)
- Manage District recognition programs.
- Monitor Division, Area, and Club administration to ensure prompt submission of semiannual reports.
