Welcome to Toastmasters. Looking for ways to improve your presentation skills? Want to get over that fear of public speaking? Maybe you want to learn to be a better leader. Or, maybe you want to know how to be more organized in giving presentations. Toastmasters can teach you all of that, and more. To reach your goals, you need to join a Toastmasters club.

This website will help you get started. It will point you to the information to get you going and to where to find a club that you can join.

Toastmasters was founded in 1924 by Dr. Ralph Smedley. His purpose was to provide a means by which people could learn to improve their public speaking skills. Public speaking is one of the biggest fears of people. For many people, the fear of public speaking even rates ahead of dying as a fear.

Toastmasters provides a safe, supportive and comfortable environment to allow anyone to learn how to give effective presentations. Toastmasters members join one or more clubs. These clubs are self-governed groups whose members teach each other how to improve their speaking skills. Support is provided by Toastmasters International and its materials and its world-wide network of regions, districts, divisions and areas. Any Toastmasters member is willing to assist another in the pursuit of learning to speak more effectively.
