Being A Club Coach: What's in it for Me?
Be a Club Coach!
Are you an enthusiastic, experienced Toastmaster who has served as a Club Officer and earned at least a CTM or CC? Do you enjoy being a key for helping an existing club rebuild its membership?
Are you good at rebuilding clubs? Do you understand how to increase club membership? Do you enjoy working with a diverse team?
If so, consider becoming a Club Coach to further develop your leadership skills.
What Does a Club Coach Do?
A Club Coach serves for at least six months to guide and assist a club that needs to have its membership rebuilt. This guidance and assistance includes:
- Work with club officers and club members on what it takes to rebuild their club membership
- Get commitment from the club members on helping get guests to their meetings after explaining to them why charter strength is important
- Bring in the appropriate materials needed for membership building activities
- Build enthusiasm in the members for wanting to help bring their club membership back to charter strength
- Coach Club Officers on their roles and responsibilities
- Encourage Club Officers to participate in District activities
- Keep District Officers informed of the club's progress
