Be a District Public Relations Officer!

Do you like communication? Are you a people person that loves the interaction? Enjoy seeing your name in print and/or hearing your voice over the air waves?

If so, consider becoming a District Public Relations Officer to further develop your communication and people skills.

What Does a District PRO Do?

A District Public Relations Officer serves for a full Toastmasters Year (July 1 through June 30th) to promote district functions. This promotion includes:

  • Uphold the bylaws and policies of Toastmasters International
  • Work in support of the training and educational goals of the district
  • Serve as a resource to district for public relations
  • Submit to the District Governor a public relations program plan to promote:
    • Membership building and retention
    • Building new clubs
    • Educational and leadership awards
    • Leadership and training opportunities within the district
    • District conferences and other events
  • Use the district newsletter, web site and other publications to keep members informed of district functions
  • Develop publicity through the use of the news media to make Toastmasters better known
